KO-KOSCOFFEE.COM
Established in April 2019, Ko-kos Coffee Farm is part of the larger Boroon Estate a mixed-farming enterprise. It is situated at Segero, in Uasin Gishu county; right on the slopes of the Cherangany Hills of the Great Rift Valley. Although the site is not in Kenya’s traditional coffee cycle, it has recently gained a reputation for its high-quality beans. This is mainly due to the ongoing coffee research and mostly, due to the following favourable natural factors:
Altitude: 1,900 – 2,200 meters above sea level Soil composition: volcanic
Rainfall precipitation; sufficient and reliable (April to September)
Sunshine: abundant (November to March)
Equator: Eldoret, the nearest town, is situated about 60 kilometres to the north.
Despite all the above natural benefits, we are actively using compost, mulch and manure without synthetic herbicides and other pollutants. Our farm inputs are largely organic.
